This original carving of a flute player has much charm. I would guess that he is a traveling flute player. why else would he have such a large backpack? Perhaps moving from village to village, playing his way across the countryside. The details are quite exceptional. Note the rope braiding that ties his backpack around his shoulders, and the pleating and folds in his clothing. This is exceptionally well crafted.
